HOW LONG DO YOU RECOMMEND BOOKING IN ADVANCE FOR MY EVENT?

Weekends are often fully booked out anywhere from 6 to 12 months in advance. We recommend contacting us 6-12 months prior to your event to avoid disappointment and to ensure that your event is one to remember

WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY?

We don’t necessarily specialise in just one genre as every event is different. We can suit many different music styles, cultures, and events you may be after. Before a booking is made, any cultural music or specific requests must be communicated.

CAN I PROVIDE YOU WITH A PLAYLIST OR MIXTAPE OF SONGS TO PLAY DURING YOUR SET?

We always encourage our clients to send us a playlist of songs whether it is a word document or a Spotify list. However, we do not play premixes on the night because each event is unique and distinct, it is hard to predict exactly what will be played on the night, which contradicts what our job entails. We focus on mixing music, reading the crowd, playing what we specialise in, and what will work to get the dancefloor moving!

In addition, you are welcome to provide a list of “must plays” that you would like to see played on the night. These songs will also be used as a reference to determine the kind of style you would like on the night. Please keep in mind that at times, some requests may not be attended to due to time capacity allocated within dance brackets for your event. All requests should be communicated to us prior to the booking.

I HAVE ALREADY BOOKED AN MC, IS THIS GOING TO BE OK?

We always recommend hiring a professional MC that is outsourced for your event.

Please keep in mind that if an external MC is hired, the entire operation/running of the night will be in their sole responsibility, and they will have complete control over the timings and how the night is conducted. We will only be able to play music during entrances, formalities, dancing brackets, and background music. External MCs are required to bring their own wireless microphone, just as we are required to bring our own equipment.

WE ALREADY HAVE AN MC BOOKED; WILL THE PRICE BE THE SAME IF WE CHOOSE TO HAVE YOU AS A DJ ONLY?

The pricing will not change. The MC service is already built within the service we offer.​

DO YOU PROVIDE YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT, OR DO WE HAVE TO HIRE EQUIPMENT?

Yes, we provide our own equipment, which is already included in the price, so you do not need to worry about anything.

THERE ARE NOISE/SOUND RESTRICTIONS AT THE VENUE I HAVE BOOKED - IS THIS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM?

Yes. Some venues have noise limits, which have a significant impact on the quality of the night, as well as the professional standards and performance that we strive for at every event. This must be reported to us prior to any booking being confirmed.

I HAVE MY WEDDING CEREMONY IN THE SAME ROOM THAT THE RECEPTION IS GOING TO BE HELD IN. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SET UP?

 It normally takes a minimum of 1.5 hours for set up and sound check at a venue. 

If the wedding ceremony is performed in the same room as the reception, or in places that will interfere with set up and sound check, there will be an additional charge which may apply for each applicable hour that it takes to set up, be ready, and complete a sound check before the ceremony start time has begun within the venue. This should be communicated before any booking or event occurs.

THE VENUE I HAVE BOOKED IS UPSTAIRS, HOW LONG DO YOU NEED TO SET UP?

If the venue has stairs, elevator access, or requires a lengthy set up time, If the venue has stairs, elevator access, or requires a lengthy set up time, there may be an  additional cost. The time it takes to set up and pack down might range from 1.5 to 3 hours one trip.

I HAVE BOOKED YOU FOR MY EVENT, HOWEVER FOR PERSONAL REASONS I NEED TO CHANGE DATES. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

The deposit is non-refundable in the event of a date change, and any new dates will be handled as a new booking.

I HAVE BOOKED YOU FOR MY EVENT, BUT DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS I'M SCARED IT MAY GET POSTPONED OR CANCELLED. WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE?

If your booking is impacted by covid-19 government regulations, we would be pleased to reschedule your booking and transfer the full deposit to a different date based on our availability. In these cases, it’s critical that you let us know the dates you want to change to so that we can collaborate and ensure everything is carried over smoothly.

I'M INTERESTING IN BOOKING YOU, CAN WE MEET FACE TO FACE FIRST?

We do not meet face to face for new queries due to a busy work schedule, usually booked out weekends, and existing client engagements. We would be delighted to discuss anything over the phone or in writing via email and or a zoom video call.

CAN YOU DJ & MC, OR IS IT ONLY ONE OR THE OTHER?

All our DJ’s can do both (DJ & MC). You also have the option of choosing us as the DJ only if this is suitable for you.
